Boldmere Community Festival

with Christmas Lights Switch On

Lights Switch On at 5:30pm

The Boldmere Community Festival with Christmas Lights Switch will take place on Sunday 17th November 2019. 

Come and join in the fun on Boldmere’s High Street as we look forward to Christmas and watch the Christmas lights being switched on by Buddy from Sutton Coldfield Community Games.

Real reindeer

Have your photograph taken with real reindeer with Santa’s sleigh next to Boldmere Bear in The Harvester car park and then visit Santa at his grotto in Age Concern.


Children’s rides and entertainment

Enjoy children’s rides including a genuine Victorian galloping horses carousel, roundabout, cups and saucers, planes, bungee trampolines and Zorb Mania.  There will also be circus performers performing in the crowds throughout the day.

Enjoy entertainment throughout the afternoon including our exciting line up of musicians and performers:

Christmas lights switch on at 5:30 by Buddy

Watch Buddy from Sutton Coldfield Community Games turn on Boldmere’s Christmas Lights with entertainment including Andi Markham the puppet man with Jack and Grandad, a mini Christmas pantomime and the Mayor of Sutton Coldfield wishing everyone happy Christmas.

Closed Door Policy at Pubs and Bars
All the pubs and bars along Boldmere's high street have agreed jointly to a CLOSED DOORS POLICY between 7pm and 9pm at the end of the Christmas Festival. This means if you want a drink in one of these pubs or bars then you MUST be inside the pub or bar BEFORE 7pm. Any public facing public areas (e.g. pub frontages) will be closed during this time. This is to help with the clean up operation that takes place after then event.
If you have booked a table for a meal, then you can still turn up and if you wish to sit at a table for food then you can also turn up as long as a table is available.
